I’m in a band called Cat Problems. It started as a joke, but now it is a real thing. We recorded an EP last night and are tracking vocals within the next week! Playing a show next week. Come meow with us!
When it comes to matters of love, it’s often platonic devotion that proves the most intimate and carries the most weight in one’s life. It’s the love stories of friendship, the decades-spanning, unbreakable connection to someone that stays around as lovers come and go. Yes, romantic love is an all-encompassing illness of the heart, but without a best friend to guide you, life becomes less tolerable. Cinema has long been awash in tales of romantic love, of course, but it’s rare to see a tale of love between two female best friends, especially one that genuinely shows what it is like to have that kind of soul mate, without whom everything else would be askew. But with Noah Baumbach’s latest film, Frances Ha, we see one woman’s journey of self-discovery, ignited by a fractured friendship.

Typhoon - Dreams Of Cannibalism
First track released off of Typhoon’s “White Lighter” out 8/20/2013. One of the first bands I discovered volunteering at KDVS. They play live with 12-15 members including multiple drummers, horn players, violinists, and more. I highly recommend seeing them live if ever given the opportunity. Can’t wait for their newest record!
Today on my radio show I only played cover songs. I love this cover of Traveling Wilburys’ “Handle With Care”. I’ve been on a Jenny Lewis kick for quite a few months now. Plus it has Ben Gibbard, M.Ward, and Conor Oberst. What more could you want?
Also when I was out for drinks a complete stranger came up to me and said he loved my show today. Not sure how he knew me…slightly odd but super flattering!

Allergies are kicking into over-drive.
I have been drinking non-stop since turning 21 on Sunday and therefore my body hates me.
I want to sleep for 24 hours straight.
Instead I will listen to my “One Of My Kind” vinyl on repeat and continuously put off doing my homework.
I wrote a song today with my friend and I can’t wait to share it with ya’ll.
